The Queen's Cup® Trophy is one of the oldest cups in world yachting still offered for competition every year. Its history dates back to an age when both British Victorian silverwork and sailing yachts were without rival anywhere. Now, every year, the race sails from Milwaukee's South Shore Yacht Club to a harbor on the Michigan side of the Lake. This year we sailed to South Haven. Over 100 boats take part and the race starts at around 3pm On Friday and finishes usually in the middle of the night For the last 2 years I have sailed the race on Nautical Sun, a 1984 Hunter 34. We finished second last year in our section and finished first this year and 7th overall!!
