The 46 foot sloop Gossip from Seattle Yacht Club raced the 17th edition of the Transpacific Yacht Race in 1951 and documented their adventure with this film. Sailing the 2225 miles from Los Angeles to Hololulu were the crew of 7: Phil Smith (owner/skipper), Barney Jensen (Navigator), Charlie Benton, Bill Kettenburg, Joe Kleghorn, Charlie Ross, and Jack Helsel.
